The prefold style cloth diaper is the most common cloth diaper with longest tenure in cloth diapering period. Not much innovation has been done over the years until Thirsties decided to make a change. The biggest problem with traditional prefolds is that on top of being bulky, they take a long time to dry and they become stiff and crunchy more often than not. Plus, most prefolds are thick in the middle with multiple layers, sometimes as many as 8 layers, and that makes it difficult to to clean all the layers thoroughly.
So, Thirsties decided to make the Duo Hemp Prefold with better flow of air and washing water-each panel is only 2 layers thick, allowing better cleansing with little effort and quick drying times. The custom hemp jersey is as soft as your favorite t-shirt and it's knitted here in the USA. It is worth noting that Hemp is an ideal diaper fabric as it displays antimicrobial properties, is many times more durable, and is more absorbent, 25% more absorbent, than cotton. The end result is a very trim and effective cloth diaper with a hefty amount of absorbing power.

I love these prefolds!! Our microfiber wasn't keeping up after 20 months so I started stuffing my pockets with these. They are so trim you can't even tell, and they absorb everything!

I purchased one of these prefolds because I was curious about them and now I can't wait to order more! They are super soft, just like a super cozy t-shirt. They fold and wash easily because of the way they are sown and are very absorbent. They also fit really well in the covers because of the two sizes. Great product!

These are soft on the bum and can hold quite a bit. I love the fact that they are used with diaper covers. For some reason, I just love how easy it is to just take the prefold out, put it in the wet-bag and replace it with another prefold.
The only thing that I don't like about these is how small they are. I have the size 2's and I feel like they are just so small for my little guy. He is quite the chunk though. Other than them being small they are actually quite nice.

Used over night in my pocket diaper instead of using two micofleece liners. It was much trimmer and VERY absorbent. No leaks and no smelly diaper after 12 hours of sleep :-) Gave 4 stars because it is a bit pricey.
